Microgaming has previewed its new Oriental-themed online slot game, Six Acrobats. Comes complete wth animated characters, free spins and a high jackpot
Microgaming has previewed its latest online slot game, and – good news for players – it’s one in which up to 390,000 coins can be won. The Asian-themed slot, called Six Acrobats, is set in a red theatre and takes its cues from the Chinese circus.
An Oriental soundtrack accompanies the action which, according to the UK-based developer, includes “mind-blowing stunts from the six acrobats”. Each of the characters has their own skills including plate balancing and knife throwing among others.
In game action
During gameplay wild symbols apply a 5x multiplier in the base game and there are up to 25 free spins to be won with the aid of scatter. Just to add to the fun, you’ll be awarded additional spins for every scatter that appears during free spins.
The mobile-compatible slot, which also works smoothly on tablet and desktop, has just nine paylines and a coin size that can be set between 0.09 and 22.5. There’s a jackpot of 8,000, but it’s possible to win huge sums from this slot – the preview video Microgaming has released shows a player scooping a prize of over £60,000, although it’s worth remembering that this is a preview video.
This high variance slot appears to be one which requires persistence to unlock its advanced features, but which rewards patient play with some extremely big wins.
Despite the game being called Six Acrobats, there only appears to be five of them that appear on the reels; perhaps the sixth has stage fright. Whatever the case, five is still more than enough to keep things lively as the circus performers show off their special moves every time they generate a win. Aside from playing card values, there’s the game’s logo which appears as the wild symbol, boosting your chances of winning in both the base game and during free spins.
You’ll receive a generous multiplier
Guanyin, aka the Golden Queen, takes the role of scatter and will award 15, 20 and 25 free spins when you land three, four or five of these on the 5×3 board. All wins generated during free spins will receive a 5x multiplier, except for when a wild is involved, in which case you’ll be granted a generous 25x multiplier.
With the potential to win up to 4,333x your stake in free spins, Six Acrobats looks to be a worthy addition to the Microgaming stable. The game is set for launch in July.
Our Verdict
There’s a fair few Oriental-themed online slots on the market, and it’s a genre that persists in new releases – it’s fair to assume it must be a popular one with players. It makes sense that developer of the stature of Microgaming would capitalise on that popularity with its new launches. The company has some big releases due, including it’s much anticipated Jurassic Park slot that will be available to play imminently. It may be that Six Acrobats slips under the radar a little but, with the amount it can possibly pay out and the bonus features available, it’s a game that players may be keen to see more of. Of course, it’s always wise to take a preview video with a pinch of salt. It’s been released by the developer of the game after all, and the fact that it shows big wins is not such a surprise.
